While the days and times vary, you can find a market in every arrondissement. \u00a0 Covered markets are open every day except Monday and close early on Sundays. \u00a0They also \u00a0 close for lunch.\u00a0 The open-air markets are set up for about 5 to 6 hours.\u00a0 Many of the markets (open-air and closed) stay open until 7 or 8 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Below is a list of the Paris markets (minus two) with their locations, days and times.\u00a0 This list will be continually updated.\u00a0 However,\u00a0 if you are planning a trip to Paris, it is best to verify times and days with France Guide <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/us.franceguide.com\">(us.franceguide.com) <\/a><\/span>the official site of the French Government Tourist Office before you go as some of the markets&#8217; locations have changed due to tram construction.\u00a0 When in Paris you can also get a list of the markets from the mayor\u2019s office.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Bonne courses <\/span>!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">LM<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-265\" title=\"IMG_2152\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_2152-350x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"350\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_2152-350x221.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/IMG_2152-580x367.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">1er arrondissement<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The first arrondissement, the birthplace of Paris, has two markets as the area is busy with tourists and full of high-end retail shops and hotels.\u00a0 Rue Sainte-Anne and the surrounding area is replete with good Japanese and noodle restaurants. \u00a0 If you continue east you will find Les Halles, the former food market for Paris until the 70\u2019s. \u00a0Les Halles is now a multi-level shopping mall.\u00a0 Close to Les Halles is Jardin d\u2019enfants aux Halles which is geared for young children with tunnels and slides.\u00a0 Jardin des Tuileries at the foot of the Louvre makes for a nice picnic lunch if you are looking for a place to eat your market goodies. \u00a0 Both markets are considered open-air markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Saint-Honor\u00e9<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Place du March\u00e9 Saint Honor\u00e9<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This \u00a0market is in the large glass building.\u00a0 You cannot miss it. \u00a0 If you are craving oysters after your market visit on Wednesday, L\u2019Ecume Saint-Honore is close by which serves fresh oysters and wine.\u00a0 There are a number of casual wine bars in the area as well (i.e., Les Rubis or Willi\u2019s Wine Bar &#8211; should you crave to hear English).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 &#8220;Saint-Eustache-Les Halles&#8221;<\/span> <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\nRue Montmartre (not Montmartre hill)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Thursday from 12:30\u00a0 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This market is in between rue Rambuteau and rue du Jour on the north side of les Halles.\u00a0 If you go to the market on Thursday, head north on rue Montmartre to rue \u00c9tienne Marcel you will find a concentration of well-known culinary shops (Mora, G. #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Bourse<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\n<\/span> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Place de la Bourse<br \/>\nTuesday and Friday from 12:30\u00a0 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Place de la Bourse is where rue du Quatre Septembre ends and rue Reamur begins.\u00a0 If you continue on this street going west, you would quickly find L\u2019Op\u00e9ra Garnier (the original opera house).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 des Enfants Rouges<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\n39, rue de Bretagne<br \/>\nTuesday through Saturday from 8:30\u00a0 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Friday and Saturdays it is open until 8 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Sundays from 8:30 to 2 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This is the oldest covered market in Paris.\u00a0 It has bio and non-bio products.\u00a0 There is a wide range of hot prepared food sold and tables so you can sit and enjoy your food.\u00a0 Rue de Bretagne is a lively street good for shopping and dining.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-277\" title=\"cauliflower\" #808080;\">This is also part of the Marais neighborhood.\u00a0 Trendy shops, bistros.\u00a0 The Pompidou is here as is the Picasso museum.\u00a0 Paris\u2019s Jewish community\u00a0 is here (L\u2019As du Falafel on rue des Rosiers) always has a line of people waiting for a falafel.\u00a0 This area is one of the few places in Paris that has restaurants and shops open Sundays.\u00a0 However, the market is here on Saturdays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Baudoyer<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\nPlace Baudoyer<br \/>\nWednesday from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Place Baudoyer can be hard to find on a map.\u00a0 Basically it is at the front of Hotel de Ville\u00a0 just south of rue de Rivoli.\u00a0 After the market you can head directly north, cross rue de Rivoli, and continue on rue du temple.\u00a0 This street has cute shops and you can have tea at my favorite tea shop, Mariage Fr\u00e8res.\u00a0 If you continue on rue du Temple, you will find the falafel place I mentioned.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-272\" title=\"eggs\" Quarter neighborhood is here.\u00a0 This is the musical and student section of Paris (the Sorbonne and other Universities are here).\u00a0 There are many reasonably priced restaurants here. \u00a0 All three markets are open-air markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Maubert<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Place Maubert<br \/>\nTuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">This market is the first known Parisian market dating from the 5th century (although it had a different name because it was then located on the<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"> <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">l\u2019\u00eele de la Cit\u00e9). Place Maubert is well situated as it is on boulevard Saint Germain near rue Lagrange.\u00a0 It is below the Seine, south of Notre Dame and there are specialty food shops (boulangeries, fromageries, etc., all in a row).\u00a0 The famous Tour d\u2019Argent is walking distance on the quai de la Tournelle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Monge<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\nPlace Monge<br \/>\nWednesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: botanical gardens (Jardin de Plantes) and Roman remains of\u00a0 Ar\u00e8nes de Lut\u00e8ce walking distance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 St-Germain<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">4\/6 rue Lobineau<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and\u00a0 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 large covered market which not only has a market but a theater, a pool, and various services for the neighborhood.\u00a0 Really it is a shopping mall although with pretty architecture replete with beautiful arches.\u00a0 It is by Luxembourg gardens and walking distance to many patisseries, boutiques, cafes and good restaurants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">March\u00e9 Raspail<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><br \/>\nBoulevard Raspail<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">(Between rue du Cherche-Midi et rue de Rennes)<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Tuesday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: has about 50 producers\/vendors.\u00a0 You can find Marc Thibi\u00e9roz\u2019s yogurts and raw milk cheeses.\u00a0 You can also find the popular apples and apple ciders of Michel
