Rub the cut side of the bottom slice with olive oil and lightly sprinkle with sea salt. Place slice on a baking sheet and place under the broiler in the oven until the slice is toasted, a light golden brown (you can also do this in a large pan stovetop&#8230;that day we placed it directly on the electric burner dry).&nbsp; Remove and cool on a cutting board.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/wild-arugula-and-strawberry-salad-on-a-ciabatta-plank\/cutbread\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7004\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-7004\" title=\"www.chefmorgan.com\" src=\"http:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/cutbread-350x262.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/cutbread-350x262.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.chefmorgan.com\/engine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/cutbread-580x435.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Make Salad.<\/span> Remove the stems from the strawberries and thinly slice. Trim the large stems from the arugula and rapini. Place arugula, rapini (and mustard frill leaves) and sliced strawberries in a bowl. Set aside.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Make Dressing.<\/span> Place sugar and balsamic vinegar in a saucepan over a medium-high flame. Reduce by about \u2153 to a syrup consistency (do not reduce too much or it will become a sticky solid). Pour one tablespoon of the reduced balsamic into a small bowl with the salt and olive oil. Whisk together well.
